Emma Mae Gilbert

Emma Mae Gilbert was born on October 3, 1932, in Wetumka, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Saturday, February 21, 2015, in Midwest City, Oklahoma, at the age of 82. Emma, the daughter of Amos Gilbert Holmes and Audie Rae (Neely) Cobble, was a resident of Midwest City. She attended and graduated from Paden High School. She married Floyd Dean Gilbert on September 8, 1950, in Prague, and they remained married until his death in 2013. Her parents, husband and two brothers, J.B. Holmes and Carl Ray Holmes preceded Emma in death. Survivors include: son, Randy Gilbert of Midwest City; daughters and son-in-law, Linda Hamrick of Midwest City, Chyrole Lashbrook of Midwest City and Candice and Mike Carter of Moore; 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Floy Jean Leonard of Chandler, OK, Pauline Holmes of Mesa, AZ and Sandy Holmes of Chandler, AZ; other family and friends. The Gilbert family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 24, 2015, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at 10:00 AM at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Bro. Tim Emmons officiating. Interment will follow at Paden Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
