Emma Lou was born on July 15, 1912, in Shelbyville, Tennessee, and departed this life on Thursday, January 27, 2004, at her home in Meeker, Oklahoma, at the age of 91. Emma Lou, the daughter of Joseph Elijah and Betty Alice Reynolds Head, married Harry Earnest Rapp, on December 14, 1931, in Chandler, Oklahoma. Harry preceded her in death by 5 days. Emma Lou retired from the Meeker Schools following a 25-year career in the school lunch program at Meeker High School. She was a member of the Meeker Order of Eastern Star #430 for over 50 years and a member of the First Christian Church of Meeker. Her parents, 1 sister, and 3 brothers also preceded Emma Lou death. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Annitta Lou and Leon Rice of Meeker and Patsy E. and Bob Hedge of Meeker; brother and sister-in-law,J.E. and Maxine Head, Midwest City, OK; sister, Betty Lynds, Midwest City, OK; sister-in-law, Berna Deana Anderson of Liberty, TX; 8 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; and expecting another great-great-grandson. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Preferred Hospice of Oklahoma City, Hospice of your choice, or First Christian Church of Meeker Memorial Fund.
