Emily Murrel Herd Cochran

Emily Murrel Herd Cochran was born on July 29, 1910, in Lutie, Missouri, and departed this life on Thursday, October 30, 2008, in Chandler, OK, at the age of 98. Murrel, the daughter of Andrew Jackson and Hettie Ryle Herd, was a long-time resident of Chandler. She married Polk Cochran on June 10, 1933, in Chandler. Murrel was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Her parents, husband and 12 brothers and sisters preceded Murrel in death. Survivors include, Daughter, Anna Lou Cochran of Chandler, Son, Donald Dean Cochran of Perryton, TX, Grandchildren, Lou Ann Wilson of Chandler, OK, Pamela Kay Bay of Chandler, OK, Sharla Cowden of Evansville, IN, Shannan Cowden Webb of Edmond, OK, Charles Cowden of Chandler, OK, Steve Cochran of Mason, TX. 7 great-grandchildren. Other relatives and many friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, Chandler, OK. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2008, 10:00 A.M., at First Presbyterian Church in Chandler with Rev. Bruce Newby, Brother Jim Morningstar and Rev. Van Herd officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
