Emile Dan "Shorty" Hubert

Emile Dan “Shorty” Hubert was born on August 21, 1946, in Whittier, California, and departed this life on Tuesday, July 1, 2014, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 67. Shorty, the son of Mark Sylvan and Ozella (Sharry) Hubert, was a resident of Meeker. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He worked as a carpenter. He enjoyed gardening and taking a good walk. He also loved living at Lake Eufaula. His parents, two sisters, Loretta Atkinson and Brenda Collins, preceded Shorty in death. Survivors include: sons and daughters-in-law, Danny and Dena Hubert of Prague, Rusty and Jeanne Hubert of Meeker and Jason Hubert of Bixby; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Robert Tyler of Sapulpa; grandchildren, Austin, Shawna, Dillion, Hannah, Sarah, Holly and Colin; great grandchildren, Jayden, Landon, Greyson and Rylee; other family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2014, at 2:00 PM at the Meeker Assembly of God Church in Meeker with Rev. Charles Pearcy officiating. A private family burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Meeker. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
