Elvis 'Red' Clifton Fowler was born on December 20, 1920, in Crosbyton, Texas, and departed this life on Wednesday, October 6, 2010, in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 89. Red, the son of Orrie C. and Ethyl Mae (Patterson) Fowler, was a resident of Prague. He proudly served his country in the United States Coast Guard from 1940 to 1945. Red married Myrtle Elois Corgill on September 14, 1963 in Gainsville, Texas. She preceded him in death on October 1, 2006. Red was a member of the First Baptist Church in Chandler, a 32nd Mason with the Shriner's Mounted Patrol. He retired from Dayton Tire and was also a farmer. His parents; one brother; and one daughter, Barbara Cox, also preceded Elvis in death. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Billie Howell of Prague; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Jim Seamster of Choctaw; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; numerous great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at 2:00 PM, at the First Baptist Church in Prague with Bro. Tim Emmons officiating. Interment is private. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
