Elva Noleta Weeks was born on March 29, 1933, in Protem, Missouri, and departed this life on Saturday, September 15, 2012, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 79. Elva, the daughter of Charlie and Effie (Hutchinson) Jordan, was a resident of Sparks. Elva married Banks Weeks on May 2, 1975 in Chandler. She was a homemaker and a member of the Arlington United Methodist Church. Elva was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Gene; 3 brothers; and 5 sisters. Survivors include her husband; Banks Weeks of the home; son and step-children; William Wayne Goforth of Seminole, Rick Weeks, Shirley Marie Lewis, Amonna Hanks, and Towanna Barkley; sisters and brothers-in-law, Thersia and Jimmie Marson of Oklahoma City, Selva and Harold Caruthers of Davenport, and Shirley Weaver of Oklahoma City; grandsons and granddaughters-in-law, Robert and Fhonda Goforth and Danny and Jamie Goforth, 5 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild. The Banks family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, September 18 from 6:00 to 8:00 at Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at 10:00, at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Rev. Scott Keneda officiating. Interment will follow at Kellerby in Arlington.
