Elton W. Hamilton was in born in Depew, Oklahoma on June 25, 1928 and departed this life in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at the age of 88 years. Elton was the son of Roy and Daisy (Walker) Hamilton. He was a resident of Stroud most of his life. He was in the United Stated Army National Guard. He owned and operated Hamilton Speed-Away and Convenience Store in Stroud for 30 years. He married Betty Jean Abney in Cushing on February 11, 1952 and she preceded him in death April 4, 2007. He was also preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, Sandra and Tammy, and two sisters. Survivors include, three sons, Danny Hamilton & wife Debbie, Ronnie Hamilton & wife Leslie, Terry Hamilton all of Stroud, two daughters, LaDonna Hamilton of Stroud, and Linda Smith & husband Jimmy of Stroud, eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, others relatives and many friends. Funeral service will be held at the Parks Brothers Chapel on Friday, June 23, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. with Pastor Joe Mulencupp & Pastor Gerard Nsabimana officiating. Burial will follow in the Stroud Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud.
