Elmer Lee “Slim” Wyatt was born Jan. 24, 1937 to Clyde Millage and Etta Mae (Lacquement) Wyatt in Prague, OK. He graduated Centerview High School and went on to receive a Bachelor’s degree from Murray State in Tishomingo, OK. While serving in the U.S. Army he met and married Nelva (Flowers) Lambert on Sept. 9, 1960. Slim and Nelva made their home in Meeker where Slim retired from the Meeker Fire Dept and Quapaw Valley Bridge Company. He was also a 32nd Degree Mason. He enjoyed the outdoors and farm life. He looked forward to frequent visits with his longtime friends, Richard Green and Dick Irwin. Slim was often known as the life of the party, never met a stranger and was blessed with many friends. He left everyone with a story to tell! Slim is proceeded in death by his parents Clyde and Etta, wife Nelva, son Mike Lambert, Son-in-law Darrell Markwell, and Grandson Colby Wolfe. He is survived by daughter Connie Markwell, son Mitchel and wife Stacey Wyatt, daughter Vonda and husband Don Langille , grandkids Damon Markwell and family, Lindsey Boatman and family, Mesha, Skyler and great granddaughter Avah LaRae.
