Elisa Kay Renfrow, of Stroud, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023, in Stroud, at the age of 51. Elisa was born on October 15, 1971 in Holdenville, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Loyd Oliver and Lucille (Cullum) Teters. At a young age, Elisa attended school at Dover Schools, before moving to Stroud in 1983. She then attended Stroud Public Schools, where she graduated, in 1989.
Elisa married Scott Wayne Renfrow on October 27, 1988 and the couple were happily married for over 34 years. The couple made their home in Stroud, where they raised their four sons, Eric, Zachary, Nicholas and Brandon. Elisa's family was her pride and joy and she loved her family dearly.
Elisa was a caregiver at heart, she had a nurses heart and spirit and in 2006, after going back to school, earned her degree and became a licensed practical nurse. She worked for many years serving the residents of the Drumright Nursing Home. In her spare time, Elisa was an avid reader. She could speed read through books with lightning speed. She could also keep up with conversations, television shows and still read and retain the information from all three at the same time. She particularly enjoyed reading fantasy and history. She also enjoyed watching television shows that focused on history and fantasy. On Sundays during the fall, you would always find Elisa cheering on her beloved Kansas City Chiefs.
Elisa was preceded in death by her mother, Lucille Teters and her birth mother, Holly Drake.
She is survived by her husband of more than 34 years, Scott Wayne Renfrow; her father, Loyd Teters; her four sons, Eric Renfrow and his wife, Makaylie, Zachary Renfrow and his wife, Sierra, Nicholas Renfrow and Brandon Renfrow and his wife, Veronica; eight grandchildren, Kayden Renfrow, Rylee Renfrow, Aiden Renfrow, Grace Renfrow, Scarlett Renfrow, Ella Renfrow, Zayne Renfrow and Sebastian Thomas; three sisters, Melissa Confer, Crystal Teters and Anna Lindbergh and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.
