Elga Louis Ferren

Elga Louis Ferren was born in Georgetown, Arkansas on September 7, 1932 and departed this life in Stroud, Oklahoma on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at the age of 83 years. Elga was the son of Edger and Bernice (Self) Ferren. He was a resident of Stroud for the past 18 years. He was in the United States Navy where he served in Korean Conflict and Vietnam Era. He worked for Union Carbide AKA Viscase Corp. in Palls Valley as a Electrical Engineer following the Navy. He married Rebecca Henderson in Gainesville, MS on April 14, 1951. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. Survivor include, wife, Rebecca of the home, two daughters and son in laws, Debbie and Mike Stewart of Stroud, Lisa and Chris Bonar of Euless, TX, two sisters, Loretta Beason and Lanai Harris, three grandchildren, Ian, Garrett and Brandon, and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Pay your respect come and go for Elga Ferren will be held at the Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel on Thursday, August 11, 2016 from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon. Service is under the direction of Parks Brothers Fuenral Service in Stroud.
