Elenora Jarvis

Elenora Jarvis, age 80, of Harrah, was born February 19, 1933, in Harrah, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Mike & Mary M. (Zaur) Gurney. She left this life on Thursday, February 6, 2014, in Oklahoma City, OK. Elenora graduated from Harrah High School in 1951 and then attended Hill Business School. She worked for McCorkle Truck Lines for 20 years and was a homemaker. Elenora was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church, Harrah, a member of the choir and past president of the Altar Society. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and spoiling her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Raymond, & 2 sisters, Louise Mollman & Dorothy Gurney. She is survived by 2 sons & daughters-in-law, Mike & Joelle Jarvis, Westminster, MD, Tim & Tami Jarvis, Edmond, OK; 2 daughters & son-in-law, Kathy & Mark Bliese, Ft. Leavenworth, KS, Susan Tate, Oklahoma City, OK; father of her children, Donald Jarvis, Edmond, OK; 3 brothers, Fred Gurney, Austin, TX, Dan Gurney, Paris, TX, Leon Gurney, Broken Arrow, OK; 5 sisters, Margaret Gurney, San Diego, CA, Clara Ann Chiasera, Niagara Falls, NY, Evelyn Boeckman, Oklahoma City, OK, Irene Muraco, Scottsdale, AZ, Virginia Gurney, Oklahoma City, OK; 7 grandchildren, Kristen Jarvis, Nicholas Jarvis, Rachael Jarvis, Garrett Jarvis, Miranda Jarvis, Lance Jarvis, Amy Jarvis; 1 great-granddaughter soon to be born and many other relatives and friends. Rosary & Wake will be 6:40 P.M., Monday, February 10, 2014, at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Harrah, OK. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 11, 2014, at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Harrah, OK, with Father Prakash Madineni officiating. Interment will follow at St. Teresa Catholic Cemetery, Harrah, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
