Eldon Johnson was born November 14, 1945 to Roy Franklin and Lenora (Wilson) Johnson. He attended Prague Public Schools and graduated in 1964. He met and married the love of his life, Cheryl Thompson, in 1965 and they made their home in Midwest City. He served in the Army National Guard for eight years.
Eldon attended the University of Central Oklahoma and in 1977 was given the opportunity to purchase interest in Sonic Drive-Ins, in Midwest City and Del City. He loved his drive-ins and was very involved with the Mid-Del School District. Eldon was a member of Meadowood Baptist Church.
Eldon is survived by his wife, Cheryl, daughters Jami and Chris Stevens of Choctaw, Marci and Mike Colvin of Celina, Texas, Lori and Matt Simmons of Choctaw and son Chad, of Midwest City. Also, sisters Reva Baldridge, Prague, Rosie Cresap, Shawnee and Karen and Barry Loop, Prague, sister-in-law, Dreatha Johnson, Prague, brother-in-law, James Irick of Bryan, Texas and brothers and sisters- in-law, Gary and Debra Kinslow, Prague and Cathy and Tom Hall of Brownwood, Tx. Eldon's pride and joy were his grandkids Briley Mitchell, Kelsey Mitchell, Talley Mitchell, Maddison Simmons, Kieran Colvin and Reese Colvin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Delores Ross and Edna Irick, brothers Harold Johnson and Arlie Johnson, father-in-law and mother-in-law Vincent and Juanita Coffey, Prague.
