Effie D. Crowder

Effie Delora Crowder, Stroud, Oklahoma, resident was born on March 10, 1938, in Fallis, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Sunday, August 29, 2010, in Stroud, at the age of 72 years. Effie was the daughter of John & Vera C. (Smothers) Butler. She was a former Chandler resident and worked as a LPN at the Mileham Clinic for many years. She married Donald Lee Crowder on September 16, 1952, in Carney, Oklahoma. Her parents, one son, Darrell Lee; two sisters and one brother preceded Effie in death. Survivors include, husband, Donald Lee of the home, one son, Bob Crowder of Milfay, OK, two daughters, Linda Silvis of Cleveland, OK, Brenda Jean Caruthers of Stroud, OK, three brothers, Delmer Butler of Carney, OK, Dewey Butler of Madill, OK, John Butler of Carney, OK, two sisters, Tina Mittasch of Carney, OK, Neta Whitlow of Morrison, OK, seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. Graveside services will be held at Carney Cemetery, Carney, Oklahoma, on Thursday, September 2, 2010, at 10:00 AM with David Lodgeston officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
