Edward "Ed" Albert Smith, Sr.

Edward Albert Smith Sr., age 80, of McLoud, OK, was born on May 6, 1933, in Valley Center, KS. He was the son of Ray Elmer & Violet Gladiola (Argo) Smith. He left this life on Friday, November 29, 2013, in Oklahoma City, OK. Ed served in the U.S. Air Force from 1952 to 1956 and retired from TAFB in 1987. Ed enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren and he also enjoyed reading the bible, building and cryptograms. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, Katherine & Lenora and one brother, Ray. Survivors include his wife, Marie Smith, McLoud, OK; 2 sons & daughters-in-law, Edward A. Smith Jr. & Lisa, McLoud, OK, Russell P. Smith & Tricia, Rhome, TX; 2 daughters & sons-in-law, Carrie E. Campbell & Jason, McLoud, OK, Cassie A. Martin & Chad, McLoud, OK; 10 grandchildren, Scott, Ryan, Elaina, Brandon, Jessica, Bethany, Rebekah, Coye, Cole and Clint and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at the Asa Smith Memorial Chapel, Harrah, OK. Interment will follow at Dale Cemetery, Dale, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
