Edmond Earl Davis

Edmond Earl Davis was born on December 24, 1930, in Nicoma Park, OK, and departed this life on Wednesday, April 20, 2005, at his home in Meeker, OK, at the age of 74. Ed was the son of Lee Samuel and Eva Mabel Henson Davis. He married Corra Autrey on December 31, 1951. Ed retired from the United States Navy following over 19 years of service including service during the Vietnam Conflict. He earned his Masters in Elementary Education from Central State College. Ed retired from the Meeker School where he taught fifth grade for many years. Ed was a member of the First Baptist Church in Meeker, a member of the VFW, and volunteered with the Sr. Citizen?s Center and the Meeker Library. His parents, 4 brothers, and 1 sister preceded Ed in death. Survivors include his wife, Cora of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Samuel Louis and Gina Davis of Meeker; daughters and son-in-law, Eva Ruth and Steve Trammell of Meeker; Karen Sue and Mike Barnum of Huntington, IN; grandchildren, Damon Barnum, Justin Barnum, Kianna Barnum, Ruth Fowler, Sarah Trammell, Allyson Davis, Drew Davis; and great-grandchildren, Steven Bruce and Ethan Fowler.
