Edith Margaret Foust

Edith Margaret Foust was born on August 7, 1920, in Strothers, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Monday, January 23, 2012, in Midwest City, Oklahoma, at the age of 91. Edith, the daughter of Guy Lacy and Gladys B. (Hefley) White, was a resident of Midwest City, Oklahoma at the time of her death. She was previously a long-time resident of Prague She married Lloyd Mahan on September 25, 1938 in Prague. He preceded her in death in 1967. On June 6, 1973, Edith married John Robert Foust in Prague. He preceded her in death in 1989. Edith worked in sales, hospital administration, and was a secretary. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Prague. Her parents, one grandson, three brothers, and one son also preceded Edith in death. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Julia and Larry Wingate of Midwest City; grandson, Bryan Wingate and his wife Christy of Norman; great-grandchildren, Shane and Ashley Wingate; brother-in-law, Martin Mahan of Stillwater; sister-in-law, Charlsey (Todd) Hefly of Marietta; and sumerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A special thank you to the staff of Manor Care, Midwest City, and Heartland Hospice. Memorial donations may be made to Heartland Hospice. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 27, 2012 at 2:00 PM, at the First Christian Church in Prague with Pastor Susan Payne and Rev. Les Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery in Seminole County, Oklahoma.
