Edith Adelia Tuttle, a Stroud resident, was born in Oilton, Oklahoma, on August 31, 1917, and departed this life in Stroud, Oklahoma on Friday, November 26, 2004, at the age of 87 years. Edith was the daughter of Dennison and Ida May Wilson Jackson. She was a resident of Stroud most of her life, was a homemaker and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Stroud, Oklahoma. Edith married Jesse Loyd Tuttle on July 1, 1935 in Davenport, Oklahoma. Edith was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 2 brothers and 4 sisters. Survivors include 3 sons, Dennis Tuttle, Stroud, OK, Jesse L. Tuttle, Houston, TX, Carter Dale Tuttle, Ridgeway, CO; one brother, Claude Jackson, Edmond, OK; one sister, Dixie Bair, Cushing, OK; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Stroud, Oklahoma on Tuesday, November 30, 2004, at 10:00 AM with Rev. Joe Mullencupp officiating. Burial will be in the Davenport Cemetery in Davenport, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service, Stroud, Oklahoma.
