Edgar Tillis

Edgar Tillis, life-long Chandler, Oklahoma, resident was born August 6, 1952, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and departed this life on July 17, 2017, in Stroud, Oklahoma, at the age of 64 years. Edgar was the son of Clifford and Geraldine (Smith) Tillis. He graduated from Chandler High School in 1971. Edgar served in the United States Army National Guard, and was a long-time member of the Lane Chapel CME Methodist Church in Chandler. He enjoyed spending time with his family. His parents, three brothers, one sister, and one sister-in-law preceded Edgar in death. Survivors include two brothers and sister-in-law, Roger Tillis of Chandler, Oklahoma, and Larry and Nancy Tillis of Chandler, Oklahoma; one sister, Almeta Esters of San Diego, California; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel, 11:00 AM, Friday, July 21, 2017, with Rev. Everett Wallace officiating. Burial will follow at Clearview Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma.
