Ed Gibson was born on December 13, 1924, in Paden, OK, and departed this life on Wednesday, September 14, 2011, at his home in Chandler, OK, at the age of 86 years. Ed was the son of James and Hattie (Hase) Gibson. He served in the United States Army during WW II. Ed married Wanda Bushey on March 23, 1953, in Oklahoma City, OK. He worked as a Building Contractor for many years and was of the Baptist faith. His parents, one son, one daughter, two grandsons, four brothers, and three sisters preceded Ed in death. Survivors include wife of 58 years, Wanda of the home, one son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Sheila Gibson of Chandler, three daughters and sons-in-law, Hattie and Mike Carney of Wichita, KS, Pamela Tate of Hollywood, FL, Gina and David Alford of Chandler, one sister Mary Ahsmuhs of Rathdrum, ID, seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 17, 2011, at Chapel Hill Cemetery, Oklahoma City, OK, with Rev. Mike Mitchell officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
