E. R. Spears E. R. Spears was born in Guthrie, Oklahoma on November 15, 1916 and departed this life in Stroud, Oklahoma on Monday, November 9, 2009 at the age of 92 years. E. R. was the son of A. D. and Beulah Maude (Randolph) Spears. He was a resident of Stroud for the past 30 years. E.R. was in the United States Air Force were he served in WWII. He owned and operated a heating and air condition business, and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Stroud. He married Evelyn R. Smith in Stroud on March 9, 1979. Evelyn preceded him in death on March 5, 2008. He was also preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother and 1 sister. Survivors include, Step Daughter,Marilyn Willsey of Sand Spring, OK, Other relatives and friends. Memorial will be held at the Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel on Friday, November 13, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. with Rev Burl Mackey officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brother Funeral Service in Stroud.
