E. Maxine Hoffman

E. Maxine Hoffman was born on September 23, 1921, in Minco, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Monday, September 22, 2008, in Meeker, Oklahoma, at the age of 86. Maxine, the daughter of John Jenkins and Chloie Edith Weems McDaniel, was a long-time resident of Prague. She married Ray Vernon Hoffman on May 31, 1942 in Minco. Maxine was a homemaker and a member of the Prague First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, her parents, one sister, and one brother. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Nancy Hoffman of Muskogee, DeWane and Louis Hoffman of McAlester, Dave and Paula Hoffman of Prague; daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Billy Erb of Wellston; brothers and sisters-in-law, Hugh and Berniece McDaniel of Scott City, KS, Johnny and Jane McDaniel of Minco; sisters and brothers-in-law, Berniece and Marvin Koerner of Pocasset, Rose Elaine Moss of Chickasha, Edith and Jerry Verser of Chickasha; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at 10:00 AM, at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Rev. Glen Pence and Bro. Tim Emmons officiating. Interment will follow at the Prague Cemetery.
