Doyle O"Neal Henson

Doyle O'Neal Henson, age 68, of Choctaw, OK, was born on January 17, 1948, in Oklahoma City, OK. He was the son of Alvin Leroy 'Short' & Naomi Cleota 'Dollie' (Lewellen) Henson. He left this life on Saturday, October 15, 2016, in Midwest City, OK. Doyle graduated from Choctaw High School, Choctaw, OK and received his Bachelor's Degree from Central State University, Edmond, OK. He proudly served in the U. S. Air Force Reserves and the U. S. Army National Guard. He married Cherry Sample on October 22, 1971, in Choctaw, OK. Doyle was a farmer and he served with the Oklahoma Fish & Game Commission. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and talking. Doyle was preceded in death by his parents and two daughters. Survivors include his wife, Cherry Henson, Choctaw, OK; 2 sons & daughters-in-law, Robert & Brandi Henson, McLoud, OK, Matthew & Tanya Henson, Midwest City, OK; 4 grandchildren, Joshua Calhoun, Jessica Calhoun, Preston Matthews, Broderick Henson and many other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 19, 2016, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, at Smith-Parks Funeral Service, 2039 N. Tim Holt Dr., Harrah, OK. Services will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 20, 2016, at the First Baptist Church, Newalla, OK. Interment will follow at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery, Newalla, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
