Doyle Frank Fouquet

Doyle Frank Fouquet, 75, of Prague, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2019 in Prague. Doyle was born on October 9, 1943 to Frank Fouquet and Dorthea (Sala) Fouquet in Sparks, Oklahoma. He graduated from Prague High School in 1961 and went to Oklahoma State University where he majored in Physics. He married Patricia Edmond in 1964, and took breaks from school periodically to work and serve in the Army. He earned a Master’s degree in Physics from OSU in 1973. He worked in the oil industry as a geophysicist and software developer until retirement in 2011. His career led him to interesting locations, such as South American cities and Russian seismic ships, so he had stories for all occasions. Doyle and Pat and their children, Tessa and James, lived in Oklahoma and Texas, spending many years in Houston. Doyle and Pat returned to Prague upon retirement, and Doyle became actively involved in the Lion’s Club, American Legion, 66ers car club, the Kolache Festival Committee, and Prague Historical Society and Museum. He was an active member of First Baptist Church. He loved going to Prague High School football games, following OSU football, going to car shows, talking about cars with friends, and working on his own old cars when he found time. He was known to be a hard worker and was always a help to family and friends. Doyle was an avid exerciser all his life and was regularly seen near his home or in the city park taking his long morning walks. His family and friends will remember him as the smartest and strongest and most ethical, hard-working man anyone could have the pleasure of knowing. Doyle is survived by his wife of 55 years, Pat (Edmond) Fouquet, his daughter and son-in-law, Tessa and Chuck Stinnett, his sister, Sonja Joyce Fouquet, and four grandchildren, Ashley Fouquet, Aiden Fouquet, Addisyn Fouquet, and Luke Stinnett, as well as other close extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Dorthea Fouquet, and by his son, James Fouquet.
