Dorothy Lee Williams Mayfield was born on October 29, 1930, in Paden, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Saturday, January 17, 2009, in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 78. Dorothy, the daughter of William Hiram and Laura Eliza Green Williams, was a resident of Prague. She graduated from Paden High School. She married Harvey William Mayfield on June 26, 1948 in Okemah. Dorothy was also a homemaker and a member of the Burnett Mission in Paden. Her parents, three brothers, two sisters and one daughter Katheryn Mayfield preceded Dorothy in death. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Harvey William Mayfield of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Eddie and Janet Mayfield of Prague, Steve and Debbie Mayfield of Prague; daughter, Gayle Mayfield of Norfolk, Virginia; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gene and Shirley Williams of Seminole, Bill Williams of Seminole, Max and Darlene Williams of Okmulgee, Paul and Sue Williams of Stroud; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Bill Davis of Prague, Jessie Vaughan Norman, Shirley and Bobby Goble of Oklahoma City, Sue Bigbie of Norman, Lois and Greg Gates of Hotsprings Village, Arkansas; grandchildren, Kevin Mayfield of Prague, and Lance Mayfield of Prague. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 19, 2009 at 2:00 PM, at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Bro. Paul Heard officiating. Interment will follow at the Paden Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
