Dorothy Lee Hansard

Dorothy Lee (Johnson) Hansard was born on February 7, 1931 in Oklahoma City, OK to Gilbert and Elsie Margaret (Nilson) Johnson. She departed this life on Saturday, September 5, 2020 in Stillwater, OK at the age of 89 years. Dorothy Johnson was married to Bill Hansard on December 24, 1950. They shared 56 years together until he passed in 2006. Dorothy had a smile that lit up a room with the best dimples. She had a heart of gold and love for animals. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and taking care of people. She worked for MetLife in Tulsa for many years until she retired to care for her mother. Afterwards, she worked for the Chandler Senior Citizens Center for 20 years. Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and daughter-in-law, Sandra Hansard. Survivors include daughter Tara Parks, son Joseph Hansard, grandchildren; Trey Parks, Shane Hansard, Jonathan Gorrell, sister Janet Robbins and husband James, brother Arthur Johnson, her beloved cat Charlie, other family members and friends.
