Dorothy L. Johnson

Dorothy, the daughter of Carl Wilbur and Ann Lee (Mann) Bowen, was a resident of Prague. She married James J. Johnson on July 9, 1975. He preceded her in death on April 7, 2000. Dorothy was an LPN at University Hospital in Oklahoma City from 1962 until her retirement in 1975. She worked in OB-Gyn and in Radiation Therapy. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Prague. Her parents and one brother, Jess Jay Bowen, also preceded Dorothy in death. Survivors include daughters and son-in-law, Carla Diane and Kenny Baker of Paden, Robin Leann Lawson of Prague; step-daughters, Lillian Frazier of Columbus, OH, Felicity Johnson; step-sons, James J. Johnson, Jr., of Jones, Jack Johnson of Oklahoma City; brothers and sister-in-law, Charles Ray and Pat Bowen of Dibble, Larry Dweight and Pat Bowen of Norman; sister, Marylan Dutton of DeQueen, AR; sister-in-law, Ann Bowen of Dibble; grandchildren,Wesley, Steve, Scott, and Cinnamon Johnson. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 12, 2009 at 10:00 AM, at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Bro. Tim Emmons officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM at the Maysville Memorial Cemetery in Maysville, OK. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
