July 16, 1935 — April 14, 2017

Doris C Dean, long-time resident of Edmond was born July 16, 1935 in Paden, Oklahoma and departed this life April 14,2017 at her home in Edmond at the age of 81 years. She was one of twins born to William H Parsons and Mildred Sue (Taylor) Parsons. Doris worked opening apartment complexes in Oklahoma City where she met the love of her life, Charles M Dean. They married and combined families on 5/25/1972 and were inseparable thereafter. Together, they retired to the house he built for them in Edmond lovingly referred to as 'the farm ,' there creating a place of sanctuary, acceptance and love for their family. Born with an innate ability to love and accept everyone, Doris was also known to her family as Momma, Granny & Granny Dean Beans. We were blessed to have her as the heart of our family, and we look forward to seeing her and our dad again. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles M Dean, her parents, her twin brother, David H Parsons and son-in-law Steven Callies. Survivors include her brother, Gary A. Parsons of McAlister, OK, one son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Tammy Dean of Edmond, OK; four daughters and sons-in-law, Beverly and Doyle Valentine of Oklahoma City, OK. Karla and JC Mahan of Edmond, OK. Debra Callies of Oklahoma City, Tambra and Pat Gray of Guthrie, OK. seventeen grandchildren, twenty six great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. Graveside services will be at 1 0:00am on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at the Oak Park Cemetery in Chandler, Oklahoma. Arrangements were under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
