Donnie Lee Reed

Donnie Lee Reed departed this life on November 29, 2023.

Donnie was born to Noah and Winnie (Pitts) Reed on February 22, 1943 in Depew, OK. Donnie was the owner of Salt Creek Bait Shop and the Stroud Pawn. He was an extremely hard worker. He had a love of horses and turned that love into his work. Donnie did everything from racing, training, and shoeing horses. He enjoyed being outdoors doing things like hunting and fishing. Donnie also lead the way in bringing South African Boer Goats here, even having some famous and well known goats. Donnie was a well loved and respected man; a tough man but a great protector and a great father and grandfather. He will undoubtedly be deeply missed.

Donnie is preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth Reed; parents Noah and Winnie Reed; and brother Darrell Reed.

Donnie leaves behind son Rod Reed; daughter LaDonia Pedicord; Step-sons Steven Sanford and wife Belinda; stepson Scott Sanford; stepdaughters Shaundy Davis and husband Allen and stepdaughter Sharla Stewart; grandchildren Jason Kendall and wife Ashley, Latoshia Jones, Sarah Sanford, Kelsey and Kendall Sanford, and Alexandria Caputo and Emily Stewart; great grandchildren Athena, Justin, Caleb and Nathan Kendall and Jaelyn, Devon Jr, Ja-Vionne, Aziryaha, Aviannah, KoKo, Amelia Jones and one more Jones baby on the way; special friend Andy Crauthers; lifelong friend Sue Hunt; niece Darya Vaughn and great nephew Jared Vaughn; as well as extended family and a host of friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, December 4, 2023 at Stroud Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at Stroud Cemetery.
