Donnie Joe Young

Donnie Joe Young was born on April 22, 1955, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Tuesday, March 16, 2010, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 54. Donnie, the son of John Joe and Nelma Jean (Qualls) Young, was a long-time resident of the Prague area. He graduated from Paden High School with the class of 1973. Donnie and Kay Stewart were married on March 19, 1976, in Prague. He was an owner of Stewart Wholesale in Shawnee, a member of the Calvary Way Church, the Masonic Lodge #209, the Order of the Eastern Star, a 32nd Degree Mason, and a member of the India Shrine Temple. His brother, John Stanley Young, preceded Donnie in death. Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Kay Young of the home; parents, John Joe and Nelma Young of Prague; son and daughter-in-law, Dustin and Ashley Young of Greenbriar, AR; daughters, Amanda Miller of Prague, Teresa Seargent of Prague; brother and sister-in-law, Terry and Jewel Young of Meeker; grandchildren, Skyler and Logan Raines, Karson and Kadom Young. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 22, 2010 at 2:00 PM, at Calvary Way Church in Prague with Rev. Starland Davis and Rev. Randy Perry officiating. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery in Seminole County. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
