Donna Jean (Heinzig) Smith was born on December 10, 1937 in Prague, Oklahoma and departed this life on August 5, 2020 in Shawnee, at the age of 82. Donna married Hubert Ray Smith on June 24, 1955 and the two were happily married until his death in October of 2018. The two had two children, four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Donna was the daughter of Otto and Alice Mae (Ueltzen) Heinzig and was a lifetime resident of Prague. She was a proud graduate of Prague High School, graduating with the class of 1955. Donna could best be described as dedicated, everything she did, she put her best effort and her whole heart into it. Her dedication to the Prague community was shown through her involvement with PEO, the United Methodist Women and the Prague United Methodist Church. Donna baked countless kolaches and was the 1954 Kolache Queen. Donna was also a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She dedicated her life to providing the best for her family. She worked countless hours to help her husband to grow Hubert’s Automotive. She was heavily involved in the FFA, athletic boosters and any other groups of parents that supported her children and grandchildren. When Donna became a grandmother, she stopped working so that she could be there for any and all of their events and activities. Donna was also an experienced golf cart chauffeur, driving miles and miles and providing countless hours of memories and good times for her grandchildren. Lastly, Donna was a dedicated servant of her Lord, Jesus Christ. She dedicated her life to her Lord by being baptized in 1947. She was a lifelong member and supporter of the Prague United Methodist Church. No matter how busy she was, she always made time to study her Bible and pray and she proudly served as her family’s Prayer Warrior. Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Ray Smith; her parents; one sister, Billie Muzny and twin great-granddaughters, Grace and Mercy Denney. She is survived by her two children, Donnal Ray Smith and his wife, Janette of Prague, Christyna Ann Jones and her husband, Benny of Shawnee; four grandchildren, Kyle Denney and his wife April of Claremore, Scott Smith and his wife Miranda of Prague, Katie Jones of Midwest City and Shelby Smith and his wife Laura of Prague; six great-grandchildren, Cooper Smith, Jolie Smith, Easton Smith, Rhett Denney, Kash Denney and Grayson Smith; one sister, Alice Largent and two sister-in-laws, Sue Smith and Doris Smith. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
