Donald Paul Ray Smith, age 69 of Harrah, OK, was born on January 3, 1938 in Ft. Worth, TX. He was the son of Paul S. & Mellisa Hudson Smith. He left this life on January 7, 2007 in Midwest City, OK. Donald graduated from Mansfield High School in Mansfield, TX. He served in the U. S. Air Force for over 20 years, retiring as a Captain. He worked as an instructor for the O.U. Postal Service. He was a member of V.F.W. #2544, the NRA, and the National Officers Association. Donald enjoyed crossword puzzles, gun smithing, bird watching and astrology. Donald was preceded in death by his mother. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Smith, Harrah, OK; his father,Paul S. Smith, Burleson, TX; 2 sons & 1 daughter-in-law, Paul Edward & Mary Ann Smith, Mansfield, TX, Michael Smith, Mansfield, TX; step-daughter, Rita DeLille, Ponca City, OK; 2 step-sons, Michael Trent, Cordell, OK, Tony Trent, Shawnee, OK; 1 brother, Clyde Charles Smith, Emory, TX; 2 sisters, Martha Whisenant, Burleson, TX, Nancy Ryan, Burleson, TX; 2 grandchildren, David & James Smith, Mansfield, TX; 1 great-grandchild, Caitlyn Smith and many other relatives and friends. Services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at the Asa Smith Memorial Chapel, Harrah, OK, with Rev. Dennis Stone officiating. Interment will follow at Arlington Memory Gardens, Midwest City, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
