Donald L. Miller

Donald L. Miller was born on August 6, 1914, in Waterloo, Iowa, and departed this life on Thursday, December 2, 2010, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 96. Donald, the son of David George and Katie Belle (Royer) Miller, was a resident of Meeker. He married Wilma Carol Rees on May 29, 1937 in Dallas Center, Iowa. She preceded him in death on August 8, 2004. Donald was a body shop salesman and a member of the Assembly of God Church in Meeker. His parents, one brother, one son, and one grandchild also preceded Donald in death. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Don and Kay Miller of Meeker; daughters and sons-in-law, Caroline West of Amarillo, Texas; Sandra and Jim Maples of Harrison, Arkansas, Sheri and Bill Parker of Meeker, Susan and Scott Long of Meeker; daughter-in-law, Aileen Miller of Oklahoma City; 15 grandchildren; and 15 Great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 6, 2010 at 2:00 PM, at the First Baptist Church in Meeker with Rev. Joe Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Shawnee.
