Donald Gaston

Donald 'Don' Wayne Gaston (aka”Buddy”) was born on March 18, 1932, in Taylor, Arkansas. Don departed this life on Monday, September 20, 2010, in Waco, Texas, at the age of 78. Don, the son of Phillip Henry Gaston and Daisy Hurd Kirby, was a resident of Chilton, Texas. He married Bobbie Yvonne Fennel on June 26, 1955, in Oklahoma City. Don proudly served his country in the US Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. He worked in industrial construction building power plants and paper mills. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Golinda, Texas. His parents and one sister, Judy Laster, preceded Don in death. Survivors include wife of 55 years, Bobbie Gaston of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Robin Gaston of Dickinson, Texas; daughters and son-in-law, Teri Gaston of Paris, Texas, Donna and Nick Manitzas of McGregor, Texas; brother, Kenneth Hearrean of Port Neches, Texas; sister,Virginia Bergeron of Clute, Texas; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at 10:00 AM, at the Prague Cemetery in Prague, Oklahoma with Bro. Tim Emmons , of the First Baptist Church of Prague, officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
