Donald Dean Conner

Donald Dean Conner, age 62, of Harrah, OK, was born on December 13, 1945 in Oklahoma City, OK. He was the son of Russell W. & Mary Naomi Hill Conner. He left this life on Wednesday, April 2, 2008, in Harrah, OK. Don lived in the Harrah area most of his life and graduated from Harrah High School. He served in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Don married Gloria Sanders on May 12, 1999 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He worked as a jet mechanic at Tinker AFB for 38 years, retiring January 31, 2003. Don enjoyed motorcycles, traveling, watching sports, especially basketball, football and tennis. He was an avid OU and OSU fan. Don was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Gloria of the home; daughter, Janet Roberson, Newalla, OK; 2 step-daughters, Stephanie Godwin, Midwest City, OK, Tammy Sanders, Midwest City, OK; brother & sister-in-law, Ernest & Joetta Conner, Harrah, OK; aunt, Della Garner, Harrah, OK; 2 grandchildren, Justin and Shyla and many other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2008, at the Asa Smith Memorial Chapel, Harrah, OK with Rev. Griff Henderson officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
