Donald Clifton Martin

Donald Clifton Martin, age 82, of McLoud, OK, was born on November 23, 1931, in Lawton, OK. He was the son of Dee & Minnie (Hartwick) Martin. He left this life on Monday, September 22, 2014, in Oklahoma City, OK. Donald proudly served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Melvetta Morris in April, 1973, in Paris, Texas.. He retired from OG&E where he was a hydraulic mechanic specialist. His hobbies were fishing, hunting, farming and he loved to tinker with things. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Melvetta Martin, McLoud, OK; 2 sons & daughter-in-law, Gary Martin, Newalla, OK, Bruce & Mila Martin, Oklahoma City, OK; 3 daughters & son-in-law, Loretta Ledford, McLoud, OK, LaVetta & Larry Roth, South Dakota, Diana Archer, McLoud, OK; brother, Doyle Martin, Coleman, OK; sister, Billie Buckles, Alva, OK; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, September 25, 2014, at the Asa Smith Memorial Chapel, Harrah, OK. Interment will follow at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery, Newalla, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
