Dolores King

Marion Dolores King, 90, a lifelong resident of Meeker, Oklahoma, passed away on July 15, 2020 in Meeker. Dolores was born on March 8, 1930, in Meeker, to Ernest and Lela Gallaway. She attended Meeker and Carney schools and graduated from Carney High School in 1948. While at Carney, she met Hershell Clyde King. Dolores and Hershell were married on March 16, 1949 in Borger, Texas. They were married for almost 65 years at the time of his passing in 2013. Dolores and Hershell loved to travel and travelled all over in their travel trailer. She was crazy about her only grandchild, her grandson, Kole, and enjoyed taking him camping. Dolores also enjoyed sewing and cooking. Dolores was preceded in death by her husband, Hershell, and her parents, Ernest and Lela Gallaway. Those left to cherish Dolores’s memory are her daughter, Kimberley Erdman and her husband, Karl; two sons, Wayne King and his wife, Pam, and Paul King and his wife Pam “Pammy” King; her grandson, Kole Erdman; and her sister, Rosemary Brown and her husband, Louis; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
