Diana Srader

December 22, 1945 — March 5, 2024

Diana Martin Srader of Prague, Oklahoma, passed away on March 5th, 2024, at the age of 78. Diana was born on December 22, 1945, in Prague, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Glen and Wanda (Parks) Martin. She graduated from Prague High School in 1964. She played the French horn in marching band and was a twirler. After high school she moved to the YWCA in Oklahoma City for a short time and worked for Globe Life Insurance Company. It’s at this time she met her husband Gary Srader whom she was married to for 55 years. Together they made their home in Prague where they raised their two children, Tamara and Kevin.

Diana was active in the lives of her children and community in many ways. She was always baking something for a school function, helping with Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts, attending a sporting event, or working in the concession stand at a baseball game. She was a homemaker and was a terrific cook with fresh baked goods during the week and homecooked meals. She always asked if you were hungry if you appeared at the door no matter who you were. Summers included tending multiple gardens, canning, and freezing produce. She was a huge fan of the Lady Devils basketball team and helped with any FFA project including taking care of the resident pig. She was an active member of the First Christian Church serving on the Board and as a Deacon. She also was the resident gardener tending to the outdoor flowers at the Church. One of her greatest joys was baking communion bread which she did for many years. She also loved her ALANON community and cherished the people she met at meetings and retreats.

Her yard was her paradise on Earth making sure the birds had ample food and tending to flowers and plants – all with a story of where the plants came from. One of her most cherished plants was the wisteria vine given to her by JL and Wilma Stone and daffodils from her old childhood home. Diana also was an entrepreneur and owned Broadway Antiques and Florist for many years. She loved her family and God and would help anyone that needed assistance. Others needs always came before her own and she lived as a servant leader.

Diana was preceded in death by her parents and her husband as well as her Granddaughter Brytni Kay Srader.

She left many people to cherish her memory that include her daughter Tamara Srader and her partner LeeAnn Williams; Her son Kevin Srader and Wife Sheila; Sister Jan Taylor and her Husband Jack; Brother Randy Martin; Aunt Freda Martin Holmes; Uncle SR Moss and numerous cousins and lifelong friends.
