Dewayne Coleman, Harrah, OK, age 65, was born on January 18, 1940, in Paden, OK. He was the son of Roy Coleman and Murrel & Thelma Dukes Martin. He left this life on December 23, 2005, in Edmond, OK. Dewayne graduated from Harrah High School in 1958. He was a cabinet maker and worked as a dock worker for Graves Trucking for 26 years. He was a member of the Harrah First Baptist Church, past-president of the Harrah Athletic Association, a Cub Scout Scoutmaster and volunteered at the Harrah Senior Citizens Center. Dewayne was a member of the Harrah Fire Department for 15 years, retiring as fire chief. He enjoyed woodworking, building crafts, hunting and fishing. Dewayne was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Jeannette of the home; 1 son, Murrel Coleman, Harrah, OK; 1 daughter & son-in-law, Penny & Ted Fetchik, Harrah, OK; 1 sister & brother-in-law, Sue & Glenn Bredemeyer, Harrah, OK; 4 grandchildren, Joey Coleman, Josh Coleman, Ashley Fetchik, & Lacee Fetchik; 2 great-grandchildren, Lauren Coleman & Dylan Coleman and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Memorials may be made to the Harrah Firefighters Association. They will forward to the 'Children of Fallen Firefighters Orphanage'. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 26, 2005, at the First Baptist Church, Harrah, OK, with Rev. Gary Eubanks officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery, Harrah, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
