Dennis J. Nagy, 63, was born August 23, 1942 in Fountain Hill, PA. He passed away July 30, 2006 at his home in Harrah, OK. He grew up in Bethlehem, PA until July 29, 1960 when he joined the United States Air Force. In 1966 he was awarded an Air Force Commendation medal for meritorious service as Airman in Charge of 377th Transportation Squadron, Tan Son Nhut Air Base in the Republic of Vietnam. From July 1965 to May 1966 he was on several overseas tours to Vietnam and Japan. Additional medals received are the Air Force Good Conduct medal, National Defense Service medal, and the Vietnam Service medal. After proudly serving his country on active duty, Dennis continued his patriotic services by serving in the United States Air Force Reserves until October 1, 1980. In addition, he worked in civil service and other areas until he passed. Dennis continued his education until the day he passed away. He received his Journeyman Electrical license. Shortly thereafter, he received his Electrical Contractor?s license. He also wrote and received two United States patents for his contributions to the electrical industry. He finished his career as an Electric Mechanical instructor at a local college where he received Instructor of the Phase. Dennis is survived by his wife Margaret of 38 years, two sons Kevin and Brian, daughter in-law Penny, three grandchildren Kristeven, Paige, and Ty Nagy, one brother Ed and one sister Gerry. He was preceded in death by his parents James and Veronica Nagy and his sister Sharon Kerns. Dennis loved to spend time at home taking care of his newly planted pecan orchard and teaching his beloved grandchildren the ways of life. Dad we will miss you more than words can say. Although we rarely expressed our feelings, we all want you to know that we loved you very, very much and you will be deeply missed. Until we meet again, good bye for now. Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, August 4, 2006 at St. Teresa?s Catholic Cemetery in Harrah. Services are under the direction of Smith-Parks Funeral Service, Harrah, OK.
