Denise (Payne) Barbee

Mary Denise Barbee passed away much too soon on August 17, 2022. Our hearts are aching. She was a beautiful and loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. She was born to Dorothy Faye Grimes and Kendall Dale Payne 56 years ago in Oklahoma City, OK. "Denise" graduated from Meeker High School. She worked in the banking industry for 26 years, concluding her career as a commercial loan officer. Denise loved to fish, garden and mow the yard. She loved her fur baby, Nola Ray. She loved a good Black Friday Sale at 5:00 am. But most of all she loved her family. We will cherish our memories and remember the times we laughed until we cried. Denise is preceded in death by her Parents and Grandparents. Denise is survived by her husband, Tommy Barbee; her son Ryan Cummings, who she loved more than anything; her mother-in-law, Linda Barbee; her sister, Sharon Whisenhunt and husband Rusty; her sister, Susan Burris and husband Mike; her brother, Don Nix; sister-in-law, Tammy and husband Jeremy; Nieces, Heather, Charlotte, Miklyn, Selena, Kassy; Nephews, Christopher, Sean, TJ, Mike, Nick, and Randy; and a host of great nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins, relatives and friends whom she deeply loved and who deeply loved her.
