Dellen "Dee" Blackwell

Dellen 'Dee' Franklin Blackwell was born on March 11, 1937, in Castle, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at his home in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 73. Dee, the son of Burl 'Buck' and Gladys Daisy (Langley) Blackwell, was a life-long resident of Prague. He married Starleen Lee Lacquement on February 18, 1960 in Wewoka, Oklahoma. Dee worked as the plant superintendent at Concrete, Inc. in Shawnee and was a member of the First Church of God. He was president of the Land Run Ride and a long-time member of the Prague Roundup Club where he served as president and on the board of directors. His parents; one son, Ray Blackwell; two brothers; and one sister preceded Dee in death. Survivors include wife of 50 years, Starleen Blackwell of the home; sons, Randel Blackwell and his best friend, Jeff Nye, of Prague, Tommy Blackwell and his wife, Lori, of Prague, Tim Blackwell and his wife, Kristie, of Prague; daughter-in-law, Debbie Blackwell of Prague; brother, Don Blackwell of Prague; twelve grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at 10:00 AM, at the First Baptist Church in Prague with Bro. Tim Emmons officiating. Interment will follow at the Prague Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
