Delbert Rainwater

Delbert Rainwater, a Stroud, Oklahoma resident was born in Stroud, Oklahoma on February 16, 1922 and departed this life in Stroud, Oklahoma on June 23, 2006 at the age of 84 years. Delbert was the son of Gideon H. and Nancy Jane Steen Rainwater. Delbert was a resident of Stroud most of his life, was affiliated with the Baptist Church, and Retired from Northern Natural Gas Company in Hobbs, New Mexico. Delbert was in the United States Army where he served in WW II. He married Carrie L. Matts in Kansas on September 20, 1945. Carried preceded him in death on November 9, 2000, also preceded her in death by his parents, 1 daughter, Ellen, 3 sisters, and 3 brothers.
