Delbert Lenny Bowles

Delbert Lenny Bowles was born on June 11, 1920, in Sparks, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Wednesday June 17, 2015, in Nixa, Missouri, at the age of 95. Delbert, the son of Clifford and Ethel Bowles, was a resident of Nixa, Missouri. He married Vyrl Dean Luster on February 15, 1941, she preceded him in death on December 21, 2008, after 67 years of marriage. Delbert enjoyed camping, road trips and watching westerns, but some of his best times were spent dancing with his wife. His wife; one son, Dale; and his parents preceded Delbert in death. Survivors include: his extended family, Kelly Johns, Nixa, Missouri, Charla Defazio, Nixa, Missouri, Jason and Melissa Johns, Janis and Jim Wrather, and Lindsay Johns, all of Nixa, Missouri, many other family and friends. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 19, 2015, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2015, at 10:00 AM, at the Prague Cemetery in Prague, Oklahoma with Rev. Derrek Belase officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
