Debra Ann (Friskup) Grissom, a long time resident of Prague, passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2021 in Oklahoma City at the age of 59. Debbie was born on September 26, 1961 in Gaylord, Minnesota to L. Kent and Judy Ann (Malm) Friskup. Debbie grew up in Meeker, Oklahoma. She attended Meeker Public Schools and was a graduated with Meeker High School Class of 1979. After high school, Debbie attended the Draughn Business College. Debbie married the love of her life, Michael Ray Grissom, on December 22, 1979. The two were happily married for nearly 32 years, until he passed on December 12, 2011. The couple made their home in Prague. They were long time members of the Prague United Methodist Church. They had three children, Brandon, Tyler and Kami. They also cared for over 30 foster babies. They loved to spend time with each other, their family and to spend an evening dancing or just enjoying a card game. Debbie was best described as genuine, compassionate and classy. She had a big smile and a great laugh. She always looked her best when she went anywhere. She took great pride in how she kept her home clean and decorated. Debbie also took great pride in her family, friends and her community. She served the people of Prague for many years as the Secretary of the Prague Chamber of Commerce, organizing and bringing people together. Debbie was also a great "Diddee" to her grandchildren and to many others. She blessed many with her loving care and kindness. She had great passion and faith in her Lord, Jesus Christ. She was never shy about sharing her faith and love with others. Debbie was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Michael Ray Grissom and her father, Kent Friskup. Those left to celebrate her memory are, her mother, Judy Friskup; three children, Brandon Grissom and his wife, Beki, Tyler Grissom and his wife, Julie and Kami Dawn Grissom and her fiance, Juan Cruz; six grandchildren, Stella Grissom, Ezra Grissom, Hank Grissom, Cash Grissom, Lucy Grissom and Juaquin Cruz; one brother, Steve Friskup and his wife, Robin; her mother-in-law, Dorothy Grissom, her loving aunts and uncles Doug and Karen Malm and Arden and Marilyn DeBoer as well as a host of family and friends. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at the First Baptist Church of Prague, with Brandon, Tyler and Kami Grissom officiating. A graveside service will immediately following at Little Cemetery in Seminole. The family will accept friends from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Prague.
