Debbie (Henry) Mcbroom

Debbie (Henry) McBroom, Harrah, OK, age 58, was born on September 9, 1952, in Enid, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Jack & Marie (Burge) Henry. She left this life on Monday, March 28, 2011, in Harrah, OK. Debbie graduated from Enid High School and attended Southwestern University in Weatherford, OK. She received her Bachelor's and Master degrees from UCO in Edmond, OK. Debbie married Ken McBroom on July 1, 1972 in Enid, OK. She was a Kindergarten teacher for 35 years. She taught at Harrah, Jones and the Methodist Pre-School. She was a member of the Choctaw Road Baptist Church, two Red Hat Clubs and Kappa Kappa Iota. Debbie enjoyed movies, cooking, sewing and arts & crafts. She is survived by her husband, Ken McBroom, Harrah, OK; son & daughter-in-law, Shawn & Christi McBroom, Harrah, OK; daughter & son-in-law, Megan & Adam Van Wart, North Richland Hills, TX; parents, Jack & Marie Henry, Enid, OK; brother & sister-in-law, Gary & LaVon Henry, Florence, OR; 2 sisters & brothers-in-law, Kay & Robert Cook, Gore, OK, Jan & Joe Ream, Enid, OK; 4 grandchildren, Kale & Macy Van Wart, Addison Belle McBroom, Emily Ann McBroom and many other relatives and friends. Memorials may be made to the Virginia Smith Elementary PTA, call 405-454-3638. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 1st from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Smith-Parks Funeral Service, 2039 N. Tim Holt Dr., Harrah, OK. Services will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, April 2, 2011, at the Choctaw Road Baptist Church, Choctaw, OK, with Dr. Rick Sowell officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery, Harrah, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
