Dean Ray Tartsah was born on April 29, 1960 in Pawnee, OK and departed this life on April 16, 2020 in Stroud, OK at the age of 59. Dean was born to Celestia Morris of Stroud, OK and Vernon Tartsah of Anadarko, OK. He graduated from Stroud High School and went to Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence, KS on a football scholarship and then proudly served his country by enlisting in the United States Navy. Dean Ray worked most his life in the oilfield and loved camping, hunting and fishing and almost anything outdoors. He was a known artist whose work can be found hung in the Oklahoma State Capital. He was a member of the Sac and Fox Nation Veterans Honor Guard. Dean was preceded in death by his parents and sister(s) Chenenia Mae Morris LaDeaux, Barbara Warrior, Regina Davis, Shirley Alexander and brother(s) Russell Big Bow, Morris Gene Warrior, George Nullake Jr. and Antowine Warrior. Adopted father, Ronnie Goodeagle Sr. He is survived by his son, Adam Tartsah and granddaughter, Alexis Tartsah of Stroud, OK and daughter, Rebecca Rae Tartsah and granddaughter, Ayvrie Gordon and grandson, Lennox Gordon of Stillwater, OK and grandson, Owen Tartsah of Cushing, OK. He is also survived by adopted mother, Yvonne Goodeagle of Cushing, OK. Uncle Thomas Morris Jr and wife, Beatrice Morris of Stroud, OK. His sister(s) Angela Standing Gasper and husband Patrick Gasper of Jones, OK, Georgia Faye Nullake of Meeker, OK, Ida Parish Nullake of Shawnee, OK, Rona Kay Goodeagle and husband, Tuffy Chaino of Cushing, OK and Minnie Masquas of Shawnee, OK. Brother(s) Thomas Warrior and wife, Barbara Warrior of Ft. Cobb, OK, Michael Harris and wife, Sandy Harris of Stroud, OK, Ronnie Harris Goodeagle Jr. of Cushing, OK and Niece, Carrie R. LaDeaux and husband, Shannon Barnes and grandkids, Elijah G. LaDeaux, AisLinn Barnes, DeAngelo Barnes, Izabella Barnes, Gabriel Dean Barnes and Nheenia Barnes of Stroud, OK and many other close family and friends. Traditional Services will be at 6 p.m., Sunday, April 19, 2020, at the Sac and Fox Traditional House in Stroud, OK. Burial will be at 10 a.m., Monday, April 20, 2020, at Sac and Fox Cemetery.
