Dean Autry Mcglocklin

Dean Autry McGlocklin, age 75, of Harrah, OK, was born on March 11, 1933 in Harrah, OK. He was the son of Raymond and Opal McGlocklin. He departed this life on Wednesday, November 19, 2008, in Midwest City, OK. Dean was a life-long resident of Harrah and he graduated from Harrah High School in 1952. He served in the U. S. Navy. He was a retired school bus driver for the Oklahoma City Public Schools and also retired from the Oklahoma City Transportation Department. Dean was an active member of the Harrah First Baptist Church where he was a driver for the bus ministry and received the 'Spark Plug' award for his achievements. Dean was a frequent patron of Harrah Heritage Park where he was often seen walking his pet daschund, Scamper. Dean was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include, 2 daughters & 1 son-in-law, Darletta & James Hinds, Maud, OK, Dolores McGlocklin, Harrah, OK; two brothers & 1 sister-in-law, Raymond, Jr. & Dee McGlocklin, San Antonio, TX, Carl McGlocklin, Harrah, OK; sister & brother-in-law, Dolores & Bill Knox, Harrah, OK; aunt, Mildred Hamilton, Redlands, CA; 2 grandchildren, Christie Lee, Fayetteville, NC, Roy Hinds, Lawton, OK; 3 great-granddaughters,Natasha, A''Lexus & Destiny and many other relatives and friends. Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Monday, November 24, 2008 at the First Baptist Church, Harrah, OK, with Dr. Tony Nickel officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery, Harrah, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
