Chandler, Oklahoma, resident, David Ray DeArmond, was born on May 4, 1932, in Huntsville, Indiana, and departed this life on July 29, 2006, in Chandler, at the age of 74 years. David was the son of Lewis Emmett and Mable Shockey DeArmond. David served in the United Sates Marines Corps during the Korean War. He was awarded the Purple Heart. David married Joan Lynn Thompson, on January 4, 1964, in Dayton, Ohio. He worked many years as a cutting horse trainer and was know as the cowboy minister. His parents, one sister and three sons preceded David in death. Survivors include, Wife, Joan DeArmond of the home, Three daughters, Robbin Palmero of Bent Mountain, VA, Jody DeArmond of Vinton, VA, Dee Dee DeArmond of Perry, OK, Three sisters, Barbara Meehan of San Antonio, TX, Becky Authur of West Manchester, OH, Blanche Fitzgibbons of Richmond, IN, 11 Grandchildren, Other relatives and many friends.
