David Glenn Nutt

December 29, 1958 — May 16, 2021

David Glenn Nutt Jr, a long time resident of Prague, Oklahoma, passed away on May 16, 2021 at the age of 62. David was born on December 29, 1958 in Mansfield, Louisiana. He was the son of David Glenn Nutt Sr. and Cora (Hall) Nutt Wilburn. David grew up in Logansport, Louisiana. He attended Logansport High School and was a proud graduate of the Logansport High School Class of 1977. David married his high school sweetheart, Debbie (Eason) Nutt on August 18, 1978. The two were happily married for over 42 years. The couple started their lives together in Joaquin, Texas. They had two children, Elizabeth and Cody. David worked his way up in the oil and gas industry. His career led them to live in Lindale, Texas, Green River, Wyoming and Prague, Oklahoma. David was well loved and made an impact on every community he and his family called home. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, and Uncle. He will be missed by many. David was well known and respected in the oil field community. He was a hard worker and had a big heart. His expertise and professionalism will be missed. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. When he wasn't working, you would find him still busy, whether it be in the arena with his horses, playing golf or working in his shop. He was a "fix it up Chappie", there was not much that David couldn't fix. It was rare to find him sitting idle not doing something around the farm. David began team roping when he was fifteen years old and it became a lifelong passion. He loved to rope and to spend time with his horses. David had many passions, from the oil field to his beloved horses to playing golf, but his greatest passion was his family. He was a great father and an even better grandfather. He loved his grandchildren very much and they loved him. Regardless if it was his own family or young people in his community, David never missed an opportunity for a teachable moment. He loved to impart some wisdom or knowledge into those around him. David was preceded in death by his father, David Glenn Nutt Sr; one sister, Cynthia Lawson and one uncle, DW Boyd. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 42 years, Debbie Nutt; two children, Elizabeth Wallis and Cody Nutt and his wife Britta; four grandchildren, Victoria Nutt, Amelia Wallis, Colten Nutt and Lyla Nutt; mother, Cora Wilburn; aunt, Nancy Boyd; mother-in-law, Mary Eason; sister-in-law, Linda Eason; two nephews, Wade Lawson and his wife Kaitlin, Matt Lawson and his wife Monica; and a host of family and friends.
