David Christopher Bennett

David Christopher Bennett was born on August 16, 1955, in Ponca City, Oklahoma and departed this life on Tuesday, July 1, 2014, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 58. David, the son of Bert Daniel and Mildred Magdaline (Conklin) Bennett, was a resident of Prague. He graduated from Prague High School with the Class of 1974. He married Pamela (Sager) Bennett on November 7 and 9, 1981. David was an excellent machinist and worked at Wolverine Tube for 35 years. He loved all things mechanical. He was meticulous about everything but most importantly his faith in Christ. His mother preceded David in death. Survivors include: his wife of over 32 years, Pamela Bennett of the home; father, Bert Bennett of Prague; son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Tonya Bennett of Fairview; daughters, Kathy Bennett of Shawnee and Becky Bennett and fiance, Alex Hooper, of Jacksonville, AR; grandchildren, Hezekiah and Vera Jane Bennett; sisters and brothers-in-law, Janet and John McFarland of Ponca City and Lisa and Ray McKnight of Perkins; brother, Dale Wolf and wife, Cindy, of Cushing; other numerous family and friends. The family has requested that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, www.stjude.org or to Village Schools International, Box 1929, Tomball, TX 77377, www.villageschools.org. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2014, at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church in Prague with Bro. Tim Emmons, Bro. James Baughman and Bro. Darryl Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Shawnee. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
